At the heart of the Lowell Milken Center is a wide variety of educational projects that teach respect and understanding among all people, regardless of race, religion or creed.

Many projects are now being initiated, or are in the early stages of development. In fact, distinguished recipients of the Milken Educator Award are currently developing several projects.

Information, photos and other materials related to these projects will be added to this Web site on an ongoing basis.

Educators are encouraged to work with the Lowell Milken Center to initiate and develop projects that teach and promote respect and understanding throughout the world. (Click here to learn how you can start a project.)

The Lowell Milken Center will do the following:

  1. Help you choose a topic and mode of project
  2. Assist you with your project
  3. Help you create a project
  4. Assist your research, and
  5. Feature your project
All projects teach respect and understanding among all people, regardless of race, religion or creed.

Project based learning can be defined as learning that results in demonstrations of hands on student activity whether it is a film documentary, performance, website, or exhibit.
