Community leaders to be recognized
01/17/20122010 Lowell Milken Center Fellow Drew Beiter is being honored by the National Federation for Just Communities of Western New York at its 2012 Community Leader Awards Luncheon at noon January 19th in the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. He was nominated by a Holocaust survivor from Amsterdam that has worked with his students. See the full article for more information in the Buffalo News.
2010 LMC Fellow at Ripples of Hope
12/5/20112009 LMC Fellow from New York, Drew Beiter, spoke at the Ripples of Hope dinner sponsored by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Human Rights. Drew and two of his students shared their project on unsung heroes from African genocide. He was recognized by Ethel Kennedy and was introduced by Charles Grodin.
Dr. Jane Foley, LMC Senior Advisor, visited Sarah Powley's classroom to collaborate with her students.
