Frequently Asked Questions
The Center is a student and teacher think-tank for projects teaching respect and understanding among all people. The Center will also continue telling the story of Irena Sendler. Each project will demonstrate the power of one person to change the world, often using unsung heroes and illustrating the Hebrew phrase tikkun olam, (repairing the world). 2. How can I get involved? Teachers, students, schools and interested parties may contact the LMC through our Web site at www.lowellmilkencenter.org and we will respond in order to begin development of your project. We also will brainstorm and create ideas with you for projects that teach understanding and respect among all people, regardless of race, religion or creed. 3. Is there a cost for working with the Center? The Center provides assistance and support free of charge. We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations to the Lowell Milken Center are welcome, as we have continual funding needs. The Center does not provide grants to organizations or non-profits. Click here to read more. |
